By Craig Ritter(Enthusiast), Oct. 31, 2013 I will have to say that the Yamaha Viking DEFINITELY overcomes the Gator by far. Longer wheelbase for a smoother ride, with higher clearance also , and auto engine braking for safer downhill driving. The Gator doesn't have engine brake. The Viking safely holds 3 adults and the Gator only holds 2. Wi... th the price of the Gator vs. the Viking, you are getting a LOT MORE for your dollar with the Viking. I would love to have the Yamaha Viking on the farm to use everyday!!! Read Full Review By John Pittman(Owner), Nov. 4, 2013 I received my new Yamaha Viking a few weeks ago and have been on two ATV park trips. One in Alabama and the other in my home state of Georgia. Having rode a Honda Rincon 650 for years , I must say that I am totally impressed with the Viking. It is a very confidence inspiring machine . Very comf... ortable and even in just 2 wheel drive , has amazing climbing ability. The EPS ( Electronic Power Steering ) option is incredible. The true engine breaking is great, especially in 4 wheel drive. The Viking is a blast to drive with plenty of power when it's needed. I couldn't be happier with the new Viking Read Full Review By Bob Briggs (Owner), Nov. 29, 2014 Hard to carry on a conversation without yelling but it is such a smooth and comfortable ride,I love it! Read Full Review By Peter(Owner), Nov. 26, 2014 I have put 160 Hours on my viking and have not had one problem with it. This is the utility ATV to have! it gives me all the power and space needed to have lots of fun cruising the mountains, this car is heavy duty and it takes a lot of punishment without complains, 100% recommended. Read Full Review By Steve(Owner), Jul. 18, 2015 We call it the goat because it goes anywhere up in the woods, up the steep areas, like a mountain goat. Fairly steep woods behind the house. Use it to haul in firewood (4-5 cord per year) and for plowing in the winter (Vermont winter!). Used to push plow piles when we ran out of room for snow. Up... graded stock tires to keep from getting stuck in mud on climbs.User Reviews
