By tony mudrock(Owner), Jan. 27, 2019 I live on Lake Erie so there is always a 2 foot chop with a very infrequent calm day. This ski cuts through 2-3 footers at 40 mph with no problem. Other skis will beat you up unless you keep it around 25 mph. The seat also is easy on the back. Other skis will cause back fatigue after 1 to 2 hours. S... pend the extra 4 grand, your body will thank you. Now regarding speed, this ski is silky smooth and fast. I mean hold on or you will literally fly off the back fast! Best description for this ski is a cadillac on steroids! Read Full Review By Ethan Taylor(Owner), Jul. 21, 2018 I just bought a 2018 SeaDoo RXP-X 300 about a month ago and I've had it on the water three times. I'm barely out of the breakin period. The first day I had it on the water it was a last minute trip straight from the dealership because I was so excited I couldn't wait. Me and a friend of mine t... ook turns riding it around for about an hour. Even without really riding aggressively, it was obvious it's a monster. It functioned properly. Second trip out: I got to the lake with my buddy who also had his own ski there and we rode around and had a blast all day. But here's where I get to some juicy details. I beached it on a small island (fresh water lake) and the beach consisted of sand and small stone mix. BIG MISTAKE. I was VERY careful. I turned off the ski 50 feet from shore and literally pushed it to shore while swimming. When we went to leave the island I pushed it off the beach and back out to chest deep water. I climbed on and fired it up and heard the dreaded grind of rocks!! I recommend NEVER TO BEACH THE SKI. The grate under the RXPX has a very agreesive edge and will scoop up dirt, sand and stones! I got towed back, dealer removed the rock. I got very lucky as the rock didn't damage the wear ring or the impeller. 3rd trip out, back to the dealer!!!: To keep it to the point. I took the ski out. Rode around and had a blast but the iBR system failed. No idea why. But I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow. The ski still runs perfect and I keep riding and having fun the rest of the day I just didn't have neutral or reverse. Final thoughts: With the pre paid maintenance plan and the extended warranty, it was around $19,500 out the door for this thing. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the performance. It's an absolute animal. Honestly the "sport mode" feature is a very bad idea for kids or inexperienced riders. The hull is amazing and is very stable in rough water. But I will say I am quiet nervous about the reliability of the ski. User Reviews
